INADEQUATE PEAK EFFICIENCY
The motor is not running correctly at peak efficiency, but by using the choke at
the first setting, the power and the torque are increased. If
there are no other problems, use one of the following methods:
A) Check point B of the Defective Idling above.
B) Replace the small rollers (D) (See figure 44) with another undersize roller,
checking progressively the diameter change around 0.5mm of variation.
C) Replace the small roller (E) (See figure 44) with another larger roller,
checking progressively the sizes with variation of 0.20mm.
PEAK EFFICIENCY
Inadequate, even when using the choke.
(A) Check point B, of the Defective Idling section. Insert a three way pressure
gauge in the distributor (see figure 43) and see
if with increased motor revolutions, the pressure gauge indicates the same
pressure of around 7 atmospheres ( 102-110 p.s.i) or if
the pressure is decreasing. If the latter is true, the gasoline is not reaching
in sufficient amounts and therefore, you must check the
fuel pump and the gasoline circuit.
