The diagrams
illustrate inlet and outlet port connections each 120 degrees rotation of the
rotor.
It will be clear that a single shuttle arrangement as in Fig. 3 could not be
used to feed an odd number of cylinders,
and Fig. 4 shows how two shuttles operating between three ports can be used to
meet the requirements of a three-
cylinder engine.

and fuel inlet and outlet ports.
